1. Fast Cardio Workout: Walking
Spring is here and getting outside is a healthy lifestyle must, especially after being cooped up in the office all winter long. So bring a pair of sneakers to keep at work so you can go for a walk any time. Grab a coworker or motivate one of your friends to join you on a walk on your lunch break for a easy cardio workout. Gossiping and especially venting about work tends to speed up your pace, so you’ll be burning more calories and making the time fly.
2. Fast Chest Workout: Interval Training
You can do interval training inside or outside for the best way to get a total body workout in a short amount of time. If the weather is good, get in a short walk and then add a walking lunge, step ups on a bench, squats, and push-ups and triceps dips on a bench. Do 25 reps of each, walk a little bit (to the next bench or next block) and then do 25 each (do 3 times total).
If walking outside is not an option, go to the stairway in your building for a fast easy workout. Try finding a stairway with the least amount of traffic, so your workout routine isn’t interrupted. Start going up and down a flight of stairs for 30 – 60 seconds. Then start your interval training: squats, lunges, step ups, dips and add in some push-ups for a fast chest workout (3 sets of 25 reps each). Do either inside or outside intervals for a sure fire way to tone your legs and arms and get a calorie blast fast!
