Being single is something that many women dread. Our society is partly to blame, as we’ve put a social stigma on the unattached woman, deeming her “single and lonely.” Sure, everyone wants to love and be loved, but since when does single and looking translate to single and lonely? No thank you. Us single ladies may be looking for “the one,” but just because Mr. Right isn’t here right now doesn’t mean we can’t have a fun moment right now until he gets here.

Whether you’ve just gotten out of a relationship or have yet to take the plunge into one, there’s neither a need to become a serial girlfriend who bounces from one relationship to another, nor a reason to sulk over your Facebook status. Here are some of the reasons why being single can actually be a wonderful thing.
