Last weekend a friend of mine posed a really simple question that I’ve thought about before but never really framed in these distinct terms: “What is it about a girl that makes guys want to date her versus just sleep with her?”

I thought about it for a while then it occurred to me that when we meet someone who we are potentially interested in, our mind synthesizes the information we collect, and basically files it into a just friends folder or one of two more than friends folders: either sexable, with no future potential, or datable, with baby momma potential. And of course, there’s also the default, no interest folder.
