On average, people lie about two times a day (and that is only what they will admit to). It’s entirely possible that those asked how many times a day they lie, lied when they answered that question. The truth is, we’re all a bunch of liars…just kidding, but honestly, we are all guilty of occasionally telling little white lies without even thinking, whether it be to protect someone’s feelings or to avoid awkward and uncomfortable situations. This goes further than your best friend asking if her new dress makes her look fat, or if her makeup is too heavy for a daytime barbeque (if it is…you should tell her!).

Most of us are taught from a young age to always tell the truth and never tell a lie. As we grow older, we learn that there are exceptions to that rule, and there are a few instances when it is even ok to tell a little white lie. We are sometimes tempted to stretch the truth in all aspects of life, including work, relationships, or with our friends and family. However, there are moments when a little white lie can get us into trouble…
